Bầu Hiển Proposes Investment in Three Major Urban Areas in Bắc Ninh

The Chairman of T&T Group, Mr. Đỗ Quang Hiển (Bầu Hiển), has proposed the development of three large-scale urban projects covering over 1,000 hectares in Bắc Ninh City and Tiên Du District during a meeting with the People's Committee of Bắc Ninh Province on the afternoon of February 12.

Specifically, he suggested developing three major urban areas, including:

  • A Smart Sports and Healthcare Urban Area in Nam Sơn (Bắc Ninh City), covering 1,340 hectares.
  • A Spiritual Tourism Urban Area and A Tourism and Service Urban Area, both located in Tiên Du District.

"Our group hopes that the province will facilitate the early implementation of these projects, contributing to breakthroughs in economic and social development," said Mr. Hiển.

At the meeting, the Chairman of Bắc Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Vương Quốc Tuấn, suggested that T&T Group conduct comprehensive research on developing the Ngòi Con Tên Medical, Sports, Urban, and Service Complex in Nam Sơn Ward (Bắc Ninh City), with the goal of establishing a large-scale sports urban area for the future centrally governed city.

Provincial leaders also requested T&T Group to finalize the land area and project scale, so that local authorities could proceed with the necessary investment procedures.

T&T Group and Bắc Ninh's Investment Landscape

T&T Group was founded in 1993 as T&T Co., Ltd., specializing in the trade of electronics and electrical appliances from major brands such as Panasonic, National, and Mitsubishi. Today, the company has expanded into a multi-sector conglomerate, operating in fields such as financial investment, real estate, energy, agriculture, transportation infrastructure, and sports.

Bắc Ninh is aiming to become a centrally governed city by the end of 2026 and has already met three out of five criteria, including population size, natural area, and administrative units.

Recently, Bắc Ninh has emerged as an attractive destination for major real estate investors, with a diverse range of development projects spanning housing, urban areas, and industrial zones.

Several major corporations have already invested in the province, including:

  • Sun Group, which has allocated over 28.2 trillion VND for two urban area projects in Từ Sơn City and Tiên Du District.
  • Vingroup, which has proposed the development of the Northwest New Urban Area (Zone 1) with a total investment of over 44.5 trillion VND.

Additionally, in September 2023, a subsidiary of Phú Mỹ Hưng received approval from Bắc Ninh authorities to invest in a 27 trillion VND urban area in Thuận Thành Town.
